Job description

Overview

UE Manufacturing is now hiring a Generator Field Service Technician III located at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. The role involves diagnosing problems and performing complex or major mechanical, electrical, power generation equipment repairs, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs at customer locations. Equipment includes power generation units, Frac equipment, coil tubing units, pumping units, and other oil field equipment.

Amount of Travel Required: 75%

Responsibilities
  • Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose problems with customer equipment.
  • Identify and order parts necessary for repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Perform complex and major repairs, replacing parts and equipment as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance following established guidelines and schedules.
  • Complete work orders and timesheets accurately and promptly.
  • Assist lower-level technicians as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to quality standards and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED with 3-7 years of related experience.
  • Preferred certification as an MTU CHP S5/M2.
Skills & Abilities
  • Perform work accurately and be accountable.
  • Communicate effectively and use critical thinking.
  • Innovate and improve production processes.
  • Work effectively with diverse teams and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Define problems clearly and organize work efficiently.
  • Work independently; experience with inverters, batteries, load banks is a plus.
  • Operate electronic test equipment and interpret manuals and work orders.
  • Maintain attention to detail and understand diesel, gas engines, and generator technology.
Computer Skills

Basic navigation skills required; proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.

Certificates & Licenses

Technical certification in automotive, lift truck, heavy equipment, or diesel engine repair required.

Other Requirements

Familiarity with diagnostic software such as CAT-ET, MTU Diasys, DDDL, among others, is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Physical Demands

Constantly stand and walk; frequently lift and handle weights up to 100 lbs; occasionally climb, crawl, squat, bend, and reach.

Other Physical Requirements

Good vision, sense of smell, touch, and ability to wear PPE.

Work Environment

Work occurs at customer sites, both outdoors and in shop environments. The description covers essential functions but is not exhaustive.
