Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician for the Kossuth facility in Lu Verne, IA. You will perform routine maintenance on GE turbines, climb towers, and ensure safe, reliable operation of the energy center.

This safety-sensitive position requires a high school diploma, at least one year of technical experience, ability to work outdoors in all weather, and a valid driver’s license. Compensation includes hourly pay with a bonus program and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
Able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.
Able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lb).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment.
Climb wind turbine towers daily with safety gear to inspect, maintain, or repair.
Understand electrical and mechanical functions of turbine components.
Troubleshoot faults and repair/replace components.
Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
Work a 40-hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
