Job summary

TAKKION is seeking a Wind Technician to join our field teams and contribute to our wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the United States.

You will inspect, install, maintain, operate, and repair wind turbines, with daily safety meetings and hands-on work at height. The role demands strong communication, teamwork, and ability to follow procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related maintenance experience.
• GWO Basic Safety Training certificate preferred.
• Must be able to climb a ladder system and work at heights up to 260 feet.

Responsibilities

• Participates daily in morning safety meeting.
• Completes inspection of equipment and tools for safe use.
• Participate in Job Safety Analysis
• Inspect the exterior and physical integrity of the tower.
• Climb towers to inspect, troubleshoot, or repair turbine equipment.
• Test electrical components and systems, as well as mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical malfunctions
• Service underground transmission systems, wind field substations, or fiber optic sensing and control systems
• Replace worn or malfunctioning components.
• Follow maintenance manual and standard operating procedures for performing maintenance on wind turbine parts.
• Complete and validate written and electronic progress reports
• Complete end of day housekeeping.
• Performs other job-related duties.
