Job summary

Acwa Power in the United States (Arizona) seeks a Wind Turbine Technician to perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on wind turbines and related systems, ensuring proper paperwork completion and adherence to HSE policies.

The role supports senior technicians, reads schematics, uses diagnostic tools, and participates in routine troubleshooting to maintain continuous energy generation.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / GED.
• Wind Energy Certifications (preferred).
• Proven knowledge of main mechanical and electrical components.
• Experience 0 to 2 years in Wind Energy, or Electrical, Mechanical and Technical Equipment.
• Valid driving license (NON CDL / CDL).
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
• Must be able to climb a top freestanding wind turbine tower over 100 m in height.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily electrical maintenance per schedule to facilitate continuous operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair wind turbine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Complete required paperwork: work orders, service reports, checklists.
• Follow safety procedures and report non-compliances.
• Assist with component replacements and high-voltage work as needed.
