GE Vernova in the United States is seeking an Electrical Fleet Support Engineer for the Converter subsystem to provide engineering support for our installed wind turbine fleet, focusing on resolving service cases, troubleshooting field electrical issues, and guiding part replacement decisions.

You will work with Services, Fleet Performance, Design Engineering and Manufacturing to deliver timely, practical solutions that improve turbine reliability, update schematics and BOMs, and support

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 6+ years experience in AC/DC power conversion.
• 2–3 years minimum experience supporting electrical systems, troubleshooting field issues, or working in a service engineering environment.
• Experience in wind, power generation, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Willingness to travel to wind farms and climb turbines.
• Fluent in English.

Aufgaben

• Lead and support the resolution of service cases involving wind turbine electrical subsystems.
• Troubleshoot complex field issues to improve turbine reliability and availability.
• Perform RCA and corrective actions for recurring technical problems.
• Coordinate with subsystem design teams to capture lessons learned and address field issues.
• Support spare parts evaluations and part replacement dispositions at wind sites and manufacturing locations.
• Provide engineering support for non-conformance, product quality, and manufacturing-related issues.
• Contribute to safety, quality, reliability, and fleet performance improvements.
