Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Technical Leader for Mechanical Sub-systems within the Troubleshooting Fleet Performance Engineering team.

You will act as the primary engineering authority for the mechanical integrity and performance of our wind turbine fleet, leading cross-functional efforts to identify, investigate, and resolve complex mechanical failures, drive fleet reliability improvements, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Field Services or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Technical Leadership: act as the primary subject matter expert for mechanical subsystems and provide authoritative solutions for fleet issues.
• Influential Leadership: lead cross-functional projects and build consensus across internal and external teams.
• Mentorship: guide junior engineers and foster a high-performance culture.
• Trend Analysis & Prevention: collaborate with Monitoring and Data teams to identify failure trends and implement proactive strategies.
• Operational Excellence & Support: supervise fleet escalations and retrofits and validate improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge Management: develop and improve field troubleshooting guides.
