Job summary

Jobtailor in West Branch, IA seeks an Electrical Assembly Technician to assemble and install electrical components in wind turbine nacelles and hubs, route wiring, and verify system functionality with testing equipment, while keeping the work area clean and safe.

You will read schematics, collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve procedures, participate in audits and continuous improvement, and support other production areas to meet production benchmarks and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Electrical certifications or technical training.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing.
• Experience in wind turbines, industrial, or automotive electrical systems.
• Ability to read work instructions and electrical schematics/diagrams.
• Must pass respiratory fit test and obtain safety certifications if required.
• Fluent English speaking and comprehension for safety communication.
• Crane operator certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install electrical components in wind turbine nacelles and hubs.
• Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors, and control systems.
• Use testing equipment to verify electrical continuity and system functionality.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Complete production tasks within designated timeframes and exceed production benchmarks.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve electrical assembly procedures.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support other production areas as assigned by the supervisor.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot electrical connectivity issues with PQA and Engineering.
• Assist mechanical assembly operators as required.
