Job summary

Nordex SE is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Manager for Steel Towers in North America. The role ensures tower suppliers meet quality, technical, and contractual requirements throughout manufacturing and acts as the primary quality representative at supplier facilities.

You will drive compliance, defect prevention, and continuous improvement to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality wind tower components and support NPI activities at supplier sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or similar roles.
• Experience with steel structures, wind towers, or heavy industry preferred.
• Experience working with North American suppliers is highly valued.
• Audits, RCA, and supplier development experience.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main quality interface with steel tower suppliers across North America.
• Ensure compliance with technical specs, quality standards, and manufacturing requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance across production stages (raw material, welding, coating, final inspection).
• Lead supplier audits and qualification/re-qualification processes.
• Lead RCA and CAPA for non-conformities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, EN, AWS, NDT, welding, coating standards.
• Drive supplier continuous improvement and defect reduction initiatives.
• Track and report supplier KPIs (PPM, NCRs, audit findings).
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams to resolve issues.
• Support NPI and validation activities at supplier sites.
• Maintain proper documentation and traceability of quality records.
• Support supplier claims management related to quality deviations.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans.
