Job summary

Nordex seeks a Plant Quality Technician to join the Production Quality Assurance team. You will inspect incoming goods, in-process and final products, document non-conformities, and drive corrective actions to ensure the highest quality across the manufacturing process.

The role emphasizes collaboration with production and engineering, requires strong attention to detail, and involves using measurement tools to support safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in quality or technical field preferred.
• 3 years of professional experience in quality control in the manufacturing industry.
• 2 years of professional experience in quality control in wind turbine manufacturing (preferred).
• Solid knowledge of quality inspection techniques and quality standards.
• Understanding of electrical or mechanical systems and components.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and quality management systems (e.g., SAP QM).
• Experience in opening and following up on non-conformities related to the production line.
• Responsible, structured, and independent work approach.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with different departments.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to completing tasks.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong leadership skills,
• Ability to handle constantly changing challenges and quickly adapt to new situations.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical or mechanical schematics.
• Understanding of ISO 9000:2000 Quality System is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process, and End-of-Line (EOL) inspections to verify quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor production processes to identify quality deviations and support timely resolution.
• Open and follow up on non-conformities and deviations with effective corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality documentation.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities with internal stakeholders.
• Communicate with suppliers to address quality issues related to received materials.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
