Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources in Livermore, CA, is hiring a Wind Tech II to maintain and troubleshoot wind turbines and related equipment. You will perform field-based electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a focus on safety and reliability, supporting SCADA data and site operations.

The role requires climbing towers up to 300 feet, OSHA-compliant field work, and collaboration with internal teams to improve performance and financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or GED required.
• 1.5+ years in a technical field or completion of a technical certificate/degree program.
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL).
• Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet.
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval.

Responsibilities

• Performs wind turbine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Work outdoors at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components of turbines.
• Collaborate with internal teams on maintenance improvements and performance reporting.
• Support site manager with safety, environmental reporting and availability.
