Job summary

NextEra Energy in Livermore, CA is seeking a Wind Technician I (Advanced to Senior) to support the Golden Hills Wind farm. You will perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot wind turbine systems to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a technical field or a technical certificate/degree, the ability to climb turbines up to 300 feet, a valid non-CDL driver's license, and willingness to follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED.
• 3+ years in a technical field, OR completion of a technical certificate/degree program.
• Ability to climb wind turbines up to 300 feet.
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval.
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL).

Responsibilities

• Performs regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment.
• Completes electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintains all company supplied equipment, facilities, and tooling.
• Provides oversight to other personnel and acts as a Safety Mentor.
• Demonstrates mastery of process and technical skills and problem solving expertise by way of board review.
