Job summary

Enel North America is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician I to inspect, troubleshoot, install components and repair wind turbines. The role supports planned maintenance and assists higher-level technicians in troubleshooting to return turbines to service.

You'll perform mechanical, hydraulic and electrical maintenance, review schematics, and ensure safety documentation is complete. Travel and on-site emergency response may be required.

Qualifications

• High school completion and 1+ year’s related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and troubleshooting techniques.
• Comfort with heavy equipment and maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete all scheduled maintenance for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment to maximize generation.
• Install, test, maintain and troubleshoot minor components and assist with major components.
• Perform current and voltage calculations as necessary.
• Initiate reports and records associated with maintenance and repairs.
• Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), JSA’s, and job specific documentation for safety.
• Support regional Wind Maintenance activities and QA/QC efforts.
• Collaborate with Technical Support for proactive repairs.
• Travel up to 25% to other sites within the US as needed.
• Respond to site emergencies 24/7 as required.
