Job summary

Invenergy's Kossuth wind facility in Lu Verne, IA is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Energy Center. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment, climb turbine towers daily, and troubleshoot faults to keep systems safe and productive.

This safety‑sensitive role requires outdoor work in varying weather, the ability to lift up to 45 kg, and a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of mechanical/electrical experience or technical education.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights above 250 feet.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
