Job summary

Invenergy's Plymouth Wind Energy Center near Marcus, IA is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the facility. The role covers routine mechanical and electrical work on GE wind turbines and related equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation.

You will climb turbine towers daily with appropriate safety gear, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot faults. The position requires outdoor work, some overtime during peak periods, and a valid US work authorization.

Qualifications

• One year of technical experience or technical education.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, at heights above 80 meters.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime during peak maintenance periods.
