Job summary

Vestas is hiring a Wind Site Technician II to maintain and repair turbines, ensuring reliable power for local communities. You will work with a team, handle maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and safety compliance on-site.

This role requires a Wind Technician certificate or wind turbine experience or a mechanical/electrical background, with good problem solving and teamwork. English fluency, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license are required, plus training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year of wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and an engaged approach to responsibilities.
• Safety-conscious and committed to best practices.
• Able to work well with others and enjoy collaborative environments.
• Physically fit, comfortable working in various conditions, and at heights.
• Ability to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• High school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver’s license, and legal work authorization in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wind turbines with your team to keep communities powered.
• Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
• Collaborate with your team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Document your work and continuously improve operational processes.
• Accurately time code all work activities to support clear tracking of task duration, progress, and operational efficiency.
