Job summary

PPM TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC. is seeking a Wind Plant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of a utility-scale wind power facility.

You will manage budgeting, outage coordination, and scheduling with interconnect entities, ensuring safe and efficient operation under Prudent Utility Practices. The role requires a four-year degree or equivalent power-industry experience, strong computer and CMMS skills, and the ability to climb towers and work with high voltage.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree or technical school certificate; or 5 years of related experience or power industry training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience in power plant operations and maintenance.
• Advanced computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets, email, facility control, management and reporting systems.
• Ability to climb 80 meter steel towers daily for maintenance.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment and crane/rigging requirements.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensures strict management and compliance of all environmental, health and safety programs.
• Oversees safety training and periodic safety assessments for crew.
• Negotiates and administers third-party contracts.
• Administers warranties and capital improvement programs.
• Manages crews performing operations, maintenance, and warranty activities; ensures compliance with manufacturers' requirements.
• Prepares annual budget and monthly P&L reporting; conducts root cause analyses of major failures.
