Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to maintain and repair wind turbine generators across hub ND2 sites. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, and document all work in GE's service reporting system.

Travel to multiple wind sites within the hub is required. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ year of wind technician experience or related certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year(s) experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completed Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience.
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with site & hub leadership to execute contractual obligations per customer requirements.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbines.
• Assist in site operations with minimal supervision and safety adherence.
• Perform diagnostic electrical analyses.
• Document work using service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center when needed.
