Job summary

GE Vernova Wind is seeking a Grid Integration Engineer to lead grid connection studies and engineer control solutions for wind projects across North America.

You will model grid interactions, support proposals, and coordinate with customers, utilities and ISOs to meet grid code requirements. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or power systems and experience with wind turbine electrical systems and grid codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or power systems.
• Experience with wind turbine electrical systems and grid integration.
• Familiar with grid code requirements and reliability standards.
• Experience applying grid code requirements for wind farms.

Responsibilities

• Configure grid electrical simulations of turbines and wind farms for system studies.
• Simulate turbine and plant level controls and interactions for grid needs.
• Assess scope and risk with respect to grid code compliance with the commercial team.
• Support questions and resolve grid code concerns for proposals and orders.
• Assist with grid acceptance tests and compliance with utilities, TSOs/ISOs.
• Develop product capability specs translating grid requirements for new offerings.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure compliance with IEEE and NERC standards.
