Job summary

Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is seeking a Local Service Technician at the Mesquite Star wind farm in Texas. The role involves safe operation and maintenance of wind turbines, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting systems, repairs, and inspections to ensure reliable power output.

Candidates should have 2+ years wind experience (3+ with an associate/ trade school degree), proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to climb heights up to 250 feet.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years wind experience with a High School Diploma or GED required. 3+ plus years wind experience with an Associates or Trade School Degree/Certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support the Safety Culture on site: set the standard for safety and ensure that others on site work safely and according to policy.
• Perform high-quality maintenance on turbines and support on improving cleanliness and operation of the machines.
• Drive continuous improvements by sharing ideas with site leadership to improve processes.
• Help reduce costs by performing quality maintenance to improve turbine efficiency.
