Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking an Operations Support Technician to service wind farm projects across North America. You will perform assembly, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, retrofitting, and maintenance on wind turbine generators, ensuring safety and high-quality workmanship.

The role requires strong fault diagnosis across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, the ability to travel up to 85%, and a willingness to work overtime or rotating shifts. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience as a wind turbine technician with major turbine components.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for wind turbine issues.
• Experience supporting crane operations during major component replacements.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced teams.
• Willingness to travel 50%–85% and work overtime or rotating shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance on wind turbine generators.
• Diagnose and repair low- to medium-voltage electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Execute repairs across multiple renewable sites with focus on major component replacements.
• Follow safety protocols, conduct hazard assessments and energy isolation procedures.
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain tools, equipment and required training certifications.
