Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is hiring an Operations Support Technician to service projects across North America, focusing on wind turbine maintenance, major component replacements, and safety compliance. The role requires field work across sites, with travel as needed and collaboration with a team of experienced professionals.

The position emphasizes strict adherence to safety regulations, hands-on troubleshooting, and rapid, quality workmanship to support project uptime and performance in wind energy

Qualifications

• 1+ year of wind turbine technician experience.
• Experience with major turbine components and rigging.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Willingness to travel 50–85% and work overtime/rotating shifts.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights up to 120 meters.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a U.S. passport.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, retrofitting, and maintenance on wind turbine generators and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Execute repairs across multiple sites with focus on major component replacements.
• Follow safety protocols and energy isolation procedures.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and training certifications.
