Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician responsible for maintenance, testing and preventive tasks on wind turbines. You will ensure safety, reliability and documentation of activities while supporting engineers and field teams to boost turbine performance and efficiency.

The role requires 1–2 years of turbine experience, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel. Initial on-site work with comprehensive safety training provided.

Qualifications

Wind Turbine Technician

Role involves assembly, testing, repair, and preventive maintenance of turbine generators and related equipment while ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.

Job Description Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Conduct safety analyses and maintain strict compliance with industry regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) utilization, and operational standards.
• Accurately document all maintenance activities to track turbine performance and operational trends.
• Support root cause analyses for equipment failures.
• Collaborate with engineers and field teams to improve turbine reliability and efficiency.

Pay & Benefits

• Base Pay: $28 – $38 (based on experience, education, and skillset) plus on-call pay.
• 5% Annual Performance Bonus (based on individual performance and company metrics) and 5% Availability Bonus.

Working Conditions

All technicians are provided with the necessary tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) to work safely and efficiently. Uniform allowance to keep you equipped and comfortable on-site. GWO (Global Wind Organization) training and certifications to ensure compliance with international safety standards. All turbines are fitted with lifts to support elevated work tasks and reduce physical strain.

Required Skills and Competencies

• 1-2 years of wind turbine technician experience or equivalent electrical experience.
• Hands‑on problem solver who thrives in fast‑paced environments, demonstrating strong technical skills and a commitment to safety.
• Experience with hand and power tools and can operate independently while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing 300-foot ladders; comfortable working in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
• Certification in medium and high-voltage equipment is preferred, along with a willingness to travel as needed.
