Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the installation of wind turbine generator facilities. You will oversee safety, schedule adherence, budgeting, and a multi-disciplinary team on site to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery for customer commitments.

The role requires strong leadership, deep technical understanding of wind turbine components, and proven ability to optimize costs while maintaining safety standards across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience as construction or project manager or similar.
• Technical background in substation, electrical instrumentation, hydraulics or rotating heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Implement safety practices and protocol at the site level.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and site is safe for all.
• Champion injury- and incident-free culture with HSE partner.
• Monitor project schedule to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Maintain relationships with customer and partners; strive for customer loyalty.
• Understand wind turbine technology to support cost-effective team models.
• Develop and implement the project execution budget to lower cost per MWH.
• Establish effective staffing models to meet objectives.
• Manage costs and prevent liquidated damages; improve efficiency.
• Update site data for reporting and tracking construction progress.
• Support accurate billing documentation and accounts receivable.
• Inspect construction work for compliance with plans and quality.
