Job summary

EDF Power Solutions North America is hiring Renewable Energy Technicians for on‑site work in Vega, Texas, supporting wind, solar, storage, and other renewables. Roles range from Technician 1 to Technician 4, with training and competency certification at start of employment in Albert Lea, MN.

Travel and lodging are provided. Positions involve safety‑driven maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, with a 24/7 on‑call rotation for Tech 2–5.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to follow instructions (Tech 1).
• Knowledge of schematics, multimeter use, and electrical/mechanical components (Tech 2).
• Advanced generation theory and electrical safety knowledge; arc flash standards; diagnostic tools (Tech 3).
• Coaching and training abilities for Techs 1–4; wind/solar industry best practices (Tech 4).

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine troubleshooting; participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation.
• Lead teams on routine tasks and train Techs 1–3; supervise contractors as needed.
• Maintain safety, asset integrity, and compliance with company procedures.
