Qualifications

What will you do?

In this position, you will join our Built Environment business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of building and infrastructure projects.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it is the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

  • Perform site visits to verify the measurement installations, terrain, and ground cover.
  • Perform wind data monitoring and issue reports on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Conduct wind data analysis and SCADA data analysis including document review, data screening, long-term correction and vertical extrapolation.
  • Undertake wind flow modelling over wind farm sites using different wind flow models including WAsP, mesoscale model and CFD model.
  • Estimate long-term wind farm energy yield, including consideration of energy yield losses such as wake effects, turbine performance and environmental constraints such as noise.
  • Estimate projects’ uncertainties and P-values and provide recommendations to reduce the uncertainties in accordance with the best practice and the company’s methodology.
  • Work on projects across all regions that Aurecon operates in.
  • Collaborate with technical teams across Aurecon including Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Support Aurecon’s growth in SE Asia.
  • Be effective teamwork in order to deliver projects on time and to budget.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering, physics, meteorology or mathematics
  • High level of English (both speaking and writing), including technical report writing
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to pay attention in details
  • The flexibility and enthusiasm to thrive in an expanding business
  • Strong interest in renewable energy
  • Having experience in wind data analysis or any relevant experience is a plus.
  • Having experience in other renewable energy including solar energy is a plus.
  • Experience in using wind energy software such as: QGIS, WAsP, Windographer, WindPro, WindFarmer Analyst is a plus.
  • Experience in computer programming, especially Python is a plus.
