Job summary

Troy Design Manufacturing Company in Plymouth, MI is seeking a WIM Designer 2 to create, revise and update Weld Information Management documentation and support department deliverables. You will work under supervision and collaborate with Manufacturing and Weld Engineers to ensure accurate documentation and timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Moderate knowledge of TDM's CAD platform.
• High level knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and basic PC functions.
• High level knowledge of vehicle assembly process flows.
• Moderate knowledge of FIDES software.
• Moderate knowledge of welding and sealers.
• Basic knowledge of WERS Concern process.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain vehicle program tracking document.
• Utilize QOS Metrics to monitor and increase productivity.
• Update Weld Spot Pattern Layout Files, formatted drawings, and Visual Build Sheets.
• Initiate weld documentation process from mark up specifications.
• Interact with Manufacturing Engineers and Weld Engineers.
• Send out customer surveys and respond to them as necessary.
• Provide input and assistance to department supervisors and manager and department objectives.
• Support vehicle program team members as well as other departments within TDM.
