Job summary

Troy-Design-and-Manufacturin in Plymouth, MI is seeking a WIM Designer 2 to support Weld Information Management activities. The role focuses on creating, revising, and updating WIM documentation and ensuring timely delivery of department deliverables.

The position requires familiarity with CAD tools, office software, and vehicle assembly processes. You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Weld Engineers to improve productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Moderate level of knowledge in TDM's current CAD platform.
• High level of knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and basic PC functions.
• High level of knowledge of vehicle assembly process flows.
• Moderate level of knowledge of FIDES software.
• Moderate knowledge of welding and sealers
• Basic knowledge of WERS Concern process

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain vehicle program tracking document.
• Utilize QOS Metrics to monitor and increase productivity.
• Update Weld Spot Pattern Layout Files, formatted drawings, and Visual Build Sheets.
• Initiate weld documentation process from mark up specifications.
• Interact with Manufacturing Engineers and Weld Engineers.
• Send out customer surveys and respond to them as necessary.
• Provide input and assistance to department supervisors and manager and department objectives.
• Support vehicle program team members as well as other departments within TDM.
