Job summary

The Module Lieutenant position with the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC) is a field lead role dedicated to wildfire suppression, incident response, and supervision of suppression modules. You will oversee safety, training, and performance during active operations to ensure effective incident management.

This 100% in-person role requires NWCG qualifications, strong physical fitness, and the ability to travel across Colorado and beyond.

Qualifications

• Two years of documented wildland firefighting experience.
• NWCG Crew Boss - Single Resource (CRWB) qualification.
• Please upload NWCG IQCS/IQS qualification records.

Responsibilities

• Fire suppression and incident response leadership on modules.
• Mitigation, fuels treatment, and resource management projects.
• Work Lead responsibilities including planning, scheduling, safety and documentation.
