Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Lee County, Fort Myers, is seeking a part-time OPS Senior Clerk to provide clinic site support for the WIC department and perform clerical and administrative tasks.

The role includes answering calls, scheduling appointments, assisting with reports, and helping with breastfeeding support. A valid driver’s license and PC skills are required; bilingual abilities may be needed for some clients.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle to carry out these duties.
• Ability to answer telephone calls, forward calls, take messages and schedule appointments.
• Skilled in operating a personal computer.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming phone calls in a professional manner to schedule appointments.
• Instructs participants on redemption procedures, rights and obligations, program procedures, vendor/participant concerns.
• Provides information on community assistance agencies.
• Meets deadline for submission of EAR’S, timesheets, mileage vouchers, and other items requested.
• Attends staff meetings and in-service training programs.
