Job summary

The Florida Department of Health in Hernando County is seeking a Nutrition Educator to deliver WIC nutrition education to clients, certify eligibility, and develop personalized nutrition plans. Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in human nutrition, Food Science, or Dietetics as per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Florida Chapter 468.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition education to WIC clients in group or individual settings.
• Certify clients for WIC participation in accordance with state policies.
• Develop and monitor nutrition education plans for individuals not at medical high nutritional risk.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate group nutrition education classes.
• Review WIC reports and assist in staff training and quality assurance.
