Maricopa County Department of Public Health is seeking a Nutrition Associate to support the WIC program. You will provide nutrition counseling, verify eligibility, perform assessments, and educate participants.

The program serves over 40,000 participants monthly and offers growth toward becoming an RDN through the WIC Track Dietetic Internship. The role is hybrid, with opportunities for professional development, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition by hire date or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Nutrition with DTR credential or eligible and able to pass within 12 months.
• Experience with WIC program and nutrition education is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition counseling and education to WIC participants.
• Verify eligibility and assess nutrition needs for program participants.
• Develop care plans and monitor progress using evidence-based standards.
• Assist with administering benefits and referrals to community resources.
