Mountain Park Health Center is seeking Registered Dietitians (RD) to join our accredited team of providers. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Arizona, we are dedicated to sustaining and improving health through excellent, patient‑centered primary care.
Essential Functions
- Perform WIC services and procedures such as categorical and income screening and health and nutrition assessments in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Plan, create, and provide individual and group nutrition and breastfeeding education to medium and high‑risk participants, providers, and professional staff using interactive teaching methods and multi‑media materials.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding clinical nutrition issues or concerns, including customizing individual meal plans for program participants with medical needs.
- Assign and tailor an appropriate food package for eligible participants based on age, category, health risks, and family needs; issue WIC food benefits.
- Review and authorize special formulas and document approvals in HANDS.
- Develop and revise nutrition education materials as assigned.
- Assist with self‑assessment efforts by conducting assigned observations and chart reviews.
- Serve as preceptor to incoming dietetic interns and provide mentoring.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform other duties as required.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 or more years’ experience in WIC, or related field.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
