Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Duval County is seeking an entry-level Health Support Technician to perform routine duties in the WIC program under supervision. You will collect health data, determine eligibility, and issue electronic benefits to clients while ensuring compliance with state policies.

The role requires a valid Florida driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work 8am–5pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• At least two years of experience working in a clinical setting.
• Must be available 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients to gather demographic information and enter data into the FL-WISE system.
• Obtain client measurements and hemoglobin for certification and recertification.
• Assist with providing nutrition education and required program handouts.
• Issue electronic benefits according to WIC regulations and schedule recertifications as needed.
• Maintain records in FLWiSE and report participant or vendor issues as required.
