Job summary

Dallas City Hall is seeking a WIC Customer Service Representative to support the Women, Infants, and Children program. Under supervision, you will perform clerical and laboratory tasks, verify eligibility, and issue WIC benefits while maintaining accurate records and providing courteous service.

Responsibilities include interviewing applicants, entering data in Texas WIN, collecting medical histories, and assisting participants with locating resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years in health care, education, community or social services.
• State of Texas Driver's License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, evaluates, and reviews WIC Program applicants for eligibility.
• Issues WIC food instrument (EBT) and performs data entry in Texas WIN.
• Collects medical history data and anthropometrics for participants.
• Interacts with participants, checks in, and provides Factual WIC information and scheduling.
• Provides clerical support, handles calls, and maintains records and files.
• Screens immunization records and makes referrals to health and social services.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
