Job summary

The Foundation for Delaware County is seeking a Clinical Nutritionist to support the WIC program in our county clinics. You will determine eligibility and provide nutrition and breastfeeding education to participants in the Women, Infants, and Children program.

This role requires a bachelor's degree in nutrition/public health or related health field, strong interpersonal and telephone skills, and computer proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition/public health or related health degree.
  • Strong interpersonal and telephone skills.
  • Computer experience required.
  • English and Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Experience with the WIC Program is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is required for travel across the county and region with mileage reimbursement available.

Responsibilities

  • Serve on the frontline in one of our county WIC clinics for the Delaware County WIC Program.
  • Perform eligibility determinations and provide nutrition and breastfeeding education to participants in WIC.
  • Act as a positive liaison between the customer and the WIC Program through client enrollment and education.

Position (WIC) Clinical Nutritionist

Salary: $20.50 per hour

  • Experience with the WIC Program, in healthcare related field or nutrition education is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is required for travel across the county and region for business-related activities and events (mileage reimbursement is available at the approved IRS mileage rate).
