Job summary

The Foundation for Delaware County seeks a Women Infants Children (WIC) Clinical Nutritionist II to deliver nutrition education and eligibility determinations at county WIC clinics. You will support breastfeeding education and care planning for high-risk participants, coordinating enrollment and education with clients and the WIC program.

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition is required; English/Spanish bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition.
  • Strong interpersonal and telephone skills.
  • Computer experience required.
  • English and Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Experience with the WIC Program or nutrition education is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation is required for travel across the county and region.

  • Serve on the frontline in one of our county WIC clinics for the Delaware County WIC Program.
  • Perform eligibility determinations and provide nutrition and breastfeeding education to participants in the WIC program.
  • Perform assessment, care-planning and nutrition counseling for high-risk participants.
  • Act as a liaison between the client and the WIC Program through enrollment and education.

Position: Women Infants Children (WIC) Clinical Nutritionist II

Salary: $22.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve on the frontline in one of our county WIC clinics for the Delaware County WIC Program.
  • Perform eligibility determinations and provide nutrition and breastfeeding education to participants in the Women, Infants, and Children Special Supplemental Food Program (WIC).
  • Perform assessment, care-planning and nutrition counseling for our most vulnerable High Risk.
  • Act as a positive liaison between the customer and the WIC Program through client enrollment and education.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition.
  • Strong interpersonal and telephone skills.
  • Computer experience required.
  • English and Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Experience with the WIC Program or nutrition education is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation is required for travel across the county and region for business-related activities and events (mileage reimbursement is available at the approved IRS mileage rate).
