Job summary

MediaTek in San Jose, California, is seeking a part-time contractor with solid application engineering experience in wireless technologies, particularly Wi‑Fi. The successful candidate will provide technical support for Wi‑Fi Alliance events and ensure proper MediaTek chipset integration at various Operators.

Qualifications

• Solid application engineering experience with wireless access points/routers/gateways/mesh node products.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
• Strong communication skills with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Play a key technical support role for Wi‑Fi Alliance Plug Fest and Certification support.
• Support MediaTek chipsets at Operators related to embedded SW and system integration.
• Work with cross‑functional teams for failure/root cause analysis.

Skills

Strong application engineering background in RF/Wireless Communications

Knowledge of Wi‑Fi Physical layer and basic protocols

Effective technical communication skills

Ability to build & maintain network setup

Experience in cross‑functional coordination

Ability to work autonomously
