The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) seeks a Wholesale Merchant Operations Supervisor to guide the Trading Operations Team through a dynamic transition. You will lead professionals in Real-Time, Short-Term, and Power Scheduling, shaping market strategies and building next-gen tools and workflows.

You will direct an integrated team across Real-Time, Short-Term Trading, and Organized Markets to optimize EWEB’s generation and contract portfolio, balancing risk, cost, and reliability in evolving

Formación

• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible work experience in wholesale energy trading, power operations, or a related energy operations function.
• Two years in a supervisory, lead, or subject matter expert role.
• Experience across real-time, short-term, and/or organized market operations preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Set the strategic direction for the Trading Operations team and establish goals, standards, and procedures.
• Oversee 24x7 Real-Time operations including load balancing, forecasting, hydro operations, and economic dispatch.
• Direct Short-Term trading, analytics, and power scheduling to maximize portfolio value and minimize costs.
• Own market readiness for organized markets, including systems, training, and compliance across time horizons.
