Job summary

Seattle City Light seeks an experienced Real-Time Operations Supervisor to lead the Real-Time Power Marketing group, overseeing real-time marketing of surplus energy, transmission, and capacity in WECC and EIM markets. You will ensure load/resource balance and compliance with NERC/WECC standards, reporting to the Senior Manager of Power Operations and Marketing.

The role requires strong analytical skills, CAISO/WECC knowledge, and the ability to coordinate across teams in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years' experience in power marketing or similar.
• Understanding of CAISO/WECC/industry practices and standards.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Real-Time Power Marketing group to ensure load/resource balance in WECC and EIM.
• Schedule energy products and oversee market participation and reporting.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve operational issues.
• Develop executive presentations and communicate actionable insights.
• Mentor staff and oversee hiring and performance processes.
• Represent City Light in regional forums and workshops.
• Maintain compliance with NERC/WECC and safety standards.
