Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company is seeking a Raw Whey Operator to run separation and pasteurization processes and related equipment in our dairy plant. The role focuses on maintaining product quality, process control, and compliance with GMP and safety standards.

Candidates must have proficient English, be able to work 12-hour shifts including weekends, lift up to 60 lbs, and possess basic computer skills. SAP experience and dairy manufacturing background are a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficient English language for daily operation and safety communications.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs per shift.
• Basic computer skills for line control and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Operate separators to ensure proper fat separation and correct fat percentage in Whey Cream.
• Operate whey HTSTs per State and Federal guidelines with proper flow and temperatures.
• Obtain Pasteurizer's License within 12 months.
• Learn and operate computer-related controls on the line.
• Maintain and monitor QC and production programs per HCC standards.
• Support training and development activities and coach teammates.
• Adhere to GMP guidelines and company policies; ensure food safety and sanitation.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and improvements for safety and quality.
