Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company in Dalhart, Texas is seeking a production operator to join our dairy manufacturing team. You will follow procedures, operate assigned equipment, and help maintain food safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires 12-hour shifts, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, basic computer skills, and proficient English. SAP experience and dairy manufacturing background are a plus.

Qualifications

• English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speak English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work 12-hour variable shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct operation and follow Procedures of the assigned equipment.
• Identify flows from HCV’s to packaging including completing Product Transitions.
• Troubleshoot and communicate any plant issues with related equipment and/or process.
• Understand and maintain operation and sanitation of all typical day equipment including CIP, COP, O&M and CIP inspections.
• Perform in-process sampling as assigned.
• Notify management/maintenance of problems affecting safety, food safety or quality.
• Learn and operate computer related processes and controls.
• Responsible for proper product handling and reforming procedures.
• Participate in training and development activities and buddy training.
