Job summary

Agropur Cooperative seeks an Evaporator Operator II to safely and efficiently run the whey evaporator, monitor flow and temperatures, and maintain documentation per GMP/SOP/HACCP. The role requires attention to detail, basic math and computer skills, and teamwork to ensure quality production.

The position offers starting pay at $27.90 per hour with two pay increases within a year, a 2,2,3 schedule (5:45 AM - 6:00 PM), medical/dental/vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience required; in-house training provided.
• Read, understand and adhere to GMP/SOP/HACCP policies.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate daily operations and cleaning of equipment related to the whey evaporator.
• Complete all documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Follow GMP, SOP and HACCP programs.
• Monitor processes and review information by various means; identify deviations.
• Perform operator level maintenance when needed.
• Understand and adhere to quality assurance policies and report safety issues to management.
• Operate startup procedures for equipment and monitor whey flow to evaporator and crystallizer.
• Log readings for multiple variables and operate CIP cycles.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in the evaporator department and assist teammates.
