EnviroScience is seeking a Wetland Biologist to assess wetlands and streams for various clients. The role includes field surveys, data collection, report writing, and assisting with proposals and project management.

The candidate will delineate boundaries, monitor aquatic health, and mentor junior staff. Travel to field sites is expected, with an office presence in Stow, Ohio. Strong written and verbal communication is essential, as is experience with GPS and GIS tools.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S./B.A. degree in natural science field of study.
• Experience: 1+ years wetland delineation field experience.
• 40-hour Wetland Delineation training preferred.
• Experience with 404/401 permit applications through agencies.
• Familiar with state/federal regulations, USACE Manuals, and regional supplements.
• Experience coordinating with agencies regarding threatened species and permitting.
• Experience with GPS, AutoCAD or GIS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys to identify and delineate wetland and stream boundaries and classify quality.
• Collect data on soil, water, vegetation, and wildlife; document site conditions.
• Prepare and draft wetland delineation reports and permit applications.
• Assist clients with permitting requirements and project strategies.
• Mentor junior staff and support other practice areas as needed.
