Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Staff Scientist to contribute to environmental consulting services through wetland delineations, GPS-based data collection, and GIS-driven mapping. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, endangered species considerations, and collaboration with a team of scientists on diverse projects in the Cincinnati area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field.
• Proficiency in wetland delineation techniques and regulations.
• Experience with GPS technology and data collection.
• Strong GIS mapping skills and the ability to create detailed maps.
• Knowledge of threatened and endangered species and their habitats.
• Familiarity with USACE 404 permitting processes (preferred but not required).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field work.

Responsibilities
