Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Project Environmental Scientist to join our collaborative team in Ohio offices (Cincinnati, Cleveland or Columbus). The role involves wetland delineations, species surveys, restoration monitoring, and coordination across North America for land development, energy, and remediation projects.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant B.S. degree and have 6+ years of regional biological experience, with proficiency in regulatory processes, GIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in biology, wildlife, botany, ecology or environmental science or a closely related field.
• 6+ years of related biological experience in Ohio.
• Experience with one or more local sensitive species desirable.
• Experience with NEPA, USACE and similar environmental regulations.
• Professional Wetland Scientist or WPIT preferred.
• Ability to travel and work extended hours, outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform wetland delineations and field assessments, including regulatory delineations.
• Conduct nesting bird and habitat surveys, vegetation classification, species inventories.
• Develop permit applications for Federal, State, and local agencies.
• Coordinate with field teams and project managers to implement permit conditions.
• Travel to job sites, including remote locations, and work in construction environments.
