Job summary

Orion is seeking an experienced supervisor to execute installation, maintenance, and repair of water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems. The role requires hands-on leadership of a crew, reading blueprints, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in underground wet utility construction.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer literacy.
• English or Spanish literacy (both preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, and schedules to organize tasks for wet utility installation.
• Supervise crew in trenching, pipe laying, manhole install, backfilling, and compaction.
• Coordinate with Superintendent on scheduling, manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Interpret blueprints, grades, and elevations for accurate installation.
• Ensure environmental, safety, and quality standards on projects.
• Monitor progress and inspect work for quality and conformance.
• Communicate with inspectors, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues.
• Maintain daily reports documenting crew activities, equipment usage, quantities, and progress.
• Oversee maintenance and care of tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Train and mentor crew in safe practices and proper installation techniques.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
