Job summary

ORION in Dallas, TX seeks a hands-on supervisor to lead wet utilities installation and maintenance, including water lines, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage. You will read plans, supervise trenching, pipe laying, manhole installation, backfilling, and ensure work aligns with project drawings.

This role requires 7+ years in underground wet utility construction with leadership experience, ability to work long shifts, and a commitment to safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in underground wet utility construction (water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage).
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and/or Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews plans, specifications, and schedules to organize and assign tasks for wet utility installation.
• Supervises crews in trenching, pipe laying, manhole installation, backfilling and compaction.
• Coordinat es with the Superintendent on scheduling, manpower, equipment, and material needs to meet deadlines and budget.
• Interprets blueprints, grades, and line elevations to ensure accurate installation of utilities.
• Ensures compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards on all utility projects.
• Maintains daily reports documenting crew activities, equipment usage, material quantities, and project progress.
