Job summary

ALS is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician in the Wet Chemistry Department. You will prepare environmental samples for analysis of inorganic contaminants, focusing on Cyanide, Hexavalent Chromium, pH and related parameters, following SOPs and safety guidelines.

The role requires working in a high-paced production environment, performing calibrations, data entry, routine maintenance, and ensuring quality under ISO 17025 standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or laboratory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of good laboratory practice.
• Comfortable in a high paced production environment.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests as outlined by SOPs.
• Carry out calibrations, standardizations and SPC tests.
• Follow established procedures and maintain quality.
• Maintain safety and proper PPE usage in a 24/7 operation.
• Complete paperwork to track tests and data accuracy.
• Route samples for additional testing per SOPs.
