Job summary

ALS is seeking a detail-oriented technician to prepare and analyze water and soil samples using EPA methodologies, employing both instrumental and classical wet chemistry techniques. You will follow SOPs, document results concisely, operate analytical instruments, perform maintenance, and report findings to the Area Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or science field required.
• 2–5 years’ experience in an Environmental Testing Laboratory preferred.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation (Ion Chromatograph, Discrete Analyzer, Auto-Titrator, TOC or Lachat Autoanalyzer) is a definite plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze water and soil samples using EPA methodologies.
• Operate instrumental and classical wet chemistry techniques and report results clearly.
• Follow SOPs, document activities, and maintain equipment with basic troubleshooting.
• Communicate findings to staff, management and clients in a professional manner.
