Job summary

Lumbermen’s is expanding into Western Pennsylvania and seeks an Outside Sales Professional to own a territory, build relationships, and grow our full-line building materials business. The role involves some overnight travel and the ability to educate customers, present solutions, and drive sales.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of outside sales experience in building materials or related fields, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
• Two to four years of outside sales experience in the building materials industry.
• Building materials industry experience strongly desired.
• Employee-owned company culture and ESOP participation.

Responsibilities

• Educate and support customers on our full-line of building materials products.
• Some overnight travel.
• Drive sales from our product lines.
• Establish and develop strong relationships with customers through in-person visits, training, events, and remote support.
• Provide exceptional service and timely problem resolution to customer needs.
• Analyze competitors’ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
• Work with vendors to achieve mutually beneficial goals and cultivate great relationships.
• Collaborate with team to achieve results on a high performing sales team.
